Six years ago I took driving lessons & two tests, both in Southampton, I failed both tests and then due to moving away no longer had the time or money to continue to learn. I moved to London seven months ago and felt for the first time that I was confident enough to take lessons again, my theory test was about to expire for the second time so I really had to get it done quickly.

As time was not on my side I decided to look into an intensive course, I called about 4 companies and found that Carcaptain were the friendliest. I felt very comfortable speaking with them, the whole process was very personal and I felt that they would not give up on me. I decided to go with Carcaptain and spoke with them regarding my requirements, I work full time so the course had to be scheduled around my time off, all of the lessons were scheduled perfectly.

I really enjoyed my lessons and felt that all of the time spent in the car was worthwhile – obviously some lessons were better than others but on the days that I felt I wasn’t driving well we took it easy and returned to the problem area the next day. We would then keep practising whatever I was having trouble with over and over until I had it spot on.

I think taking a course with Carcaptain was definitely the most efficient way of finally getting my licence, I put a huge amount of pressure on myself to pass which is good if you can handle it. I was having lessons everyday which may be difficult for some people but was brilliant for me as I didn’t forget the things I had done the day before. With weekly lessons I felt that I was starting again every week whereas with an intensive course I was practising constantly & everything stayed in my head. I would definitely recommend taking an intensive course with Carcaptain if you want to get your driving licence quickly without all of the hassle of weekly lessons.

When I decided I wanted to take an intensive driving course I browsed the internet for driving schools offering the services I was after. I knew it was a tall order but I wanted to complete my course within the week so I started calling round on the Monday. Whereas most of the school’s I spoke with said it was unlikely that I would be able to get a test at such late notice CarCaptain assured me that something would come up & indeed it did. I wanted to do a 23 hour course scheduled over 5 days with my test on the fifth day, the only way I was going to manage that is if I started my lessons on the day I booked so I met with the instructor that afternoon for my first lesson.  The day after I booked with CarCaptain they found me a test for that Friday in my local test centre. I was very impressed with everything from the booking, to the lessons and to the test and I was surprised by the time and the level of commitment shown to myself. From the very first conversation I had with Andy (My instructor) I was very impressed, the lessons were taught to a very high standard by a very good instructor.

Leading in my test I knew that i had been taught everything that I needed to know and more, I knew that if I executed everything I had been taught in the test then I would have a very good chance of passing. I must say a big thank you to Andy for teaching me everything I needed to know and for putting in the time for me to pass with only 7 minors!!!

I was very impressed with CarCaptain, my entire course was handled brilliantly. I had absolutely no complaints, everything was handled in a very professional way & I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs to get their licence as quickly as I did.

I found CarCaptain driving school on the internet and had a very positive first impression of them. The lady who answered the call described the courses and it was exactly what I had been looking for so I decided to go ahead with Carcaptain. I have a wife and young son so was eager to get my driving licence after many years of procrastinating, I arranged the course for the following week.

I had already taken a theory test and they found me a practical test within an hour of first contact. My lessons were arranged to begin on the next day & I immediately liked my instructor, he was very good and positive and offered good advice throughout the duration of the course.

Everything was a bit of a whirlwind & within a week of calling Carcaptain I had completed 11 hours of lessons & passed my test.

I came across Carcaptain during a web search & my first impression of them was extremely good, .  and Jennifer was extremely patient, friendly and accommodating to all of my requests. All of the questions I asked were answered & I decided to go ahead with Carcaptain because of my initial phone interaction with Jennifer.

When I first rang Carcaptain I did not even have a provisional licence so they helped me to get one & then as soon as it arrived I was back in touch with them again. I did not have specific dates in mind for the course, but was looking to expedite the process, CarCaptain assisted me in outlining a schedule. I had driven in the States for quite a few years but wasn’t entirely sure how many lessons I would need to pass a test in the UK so Jennifer made the arrangements for me to go out for an assessment drive with Chris. It was decided that I needed around 15 hours including my test, the first three lessons I took with an instructor called Ren, a last minute cancellation then came up in another part of London so I switched to do my final 12 hours with Stephen – All 3 of the instructors were very good & I believe we were as efficient as we possibly could have been with the time that we had.

When I went to take my test I felt reasonably well prepared, but was a bit nervous given both the National pass rate and local test centre pass rate. I definitely think that the course was worth what I paid for it, on the practical exam I only received one minor fault, so I would say that the course paid dividends.  I would gladly recommend CarCaptain to a friend or colleague.

Just one comment…  It would be very nice moving forward if you were able to accept chip + pin or credit card payments  over the phone.

I was referred to Carcaptain driving school by a friend who had taken lessons with them in the past, when I rang to get some more information I was treated very well & everything I wanted to know was explained to me. I decided to go ahead with Carcaptain because they were very reasonably priced & organised. I wanted to do my course as soon as possible & I had to take both a theory & a practical test as well as 33 hours of lessons. They scheduled my theory test for a weeks time & then my practical was 8 days later.  It was exactly 15 days from the day I first spoke to Carcaptain to the day I passed my practical test.

I really liked my driving instructor (Taz) as soon as I met him, he was extremely easy to get along with & was the best instructor I had ever had. My lessons were really successful & I was extremely comfortable having lessons with him. I definitely got as much out of my hours with Taz as I possibly could have done. I felt extremely well prepared when I went to take my driving test & feel that the services I received from Carcaptain & the quality of my driving lessons were definitely worth the money I paid for them.

Taz was fantastic and I highly recommend him. He was brilliant and extremely supportive. Thank you very much Carcaptain.

The first place I looked when I decide I wanted to take an intensive course was the internet, CarCaptain was one of the first sites that came up on Google so I had a look & was impressed by the website & the prices. When I rang up to get some more information I spoke with a lady who was very helpful and answered all of the questions that I had, my enquiry was handled very efficiently so I decided to go with CarCaptain. Once I decided I wanted to go ahead everything got done really quickly, they were so quick at getting back to me and as soon as I had paid my deposit they booked me a test. I had dates in mind for when I wanted to do my course but to be honest I didn’t really expect to get those dates as they were so soon, I also knew which test centre I wanted to do my course in but was persuaded by a lady in the office that I would be better off doing my test in another local centre. I started my course on the exact date that I had put down on my ‘wish list’ and had my test scheduled for the end of my 27 hour course. Once all the dates had been finalised it was a case of waiting until my lessons started. My instructor came and picked me up for my first lesson and by the end of my first day I could already tell that my instructor was extremely patient. I learnt more during my first lesson than I had done during my entire course with my old instructor, I got much more out of the lessons that I had expected and found that everything became much easier when it was explained clearly. On the day I went to take my test I was extremely nervous but I also knew that I was 100% prepared and had been taught all that I needed to pass my test, which I did! I think that CarCaptain is a fantastic company to learn with, you get service above and beyond what you pay for and I have already recommended them to many of my friends.

I really struggled with my driving for a really long time, I didn’t really have the money to take lessons every week & I also couldn’t afford a lengthy intensive course. So I contacted Carcaptain to find out about taking a few lessons with an instructor before my next test. As I hadn’t been having regular lessons the only practise I got was in my own car with my boyfriend in the passenger seat, I was so used to my car that I didn’t want to take lessons in the instructors car. Carcaptain were fine with this, they were extremely professional & all of my questions were well handled. During my first lesson I asked my instructor if my boyfriend could sit in with me, he said this was fine & that we could concentrate on teaching my boyfriend how to teach me so that I didn’t have to keep paying out for lessons. I was really surprised at this & it made a massive difference to my driving, my boyfriend learnt all of the techniques which meant that he knew how to correct my mistakes when we went out practising. When I got home after my first lesson I was really happy & felt more confident in my driving than I ever had before. I really got the most out of the rest of my lessons & went from having no confidence to knowing that I could successfully pass. When I went to take my test I was really, really nervous but I also knew that I could do anything that the examiner asked me to. I’m really glad that I choose to take lessons with Carcaptain, I felt that my instructor really cared about my needs & wasn’t just there to get paid – the thing that impacted my driving the most was the instructors idea to teach my boyfriend to teach me. This meant that I could pass my driving test without breaking the bank!

I found out about Carcaptain through a family member who had already taken an intensive course with them, I was told they were extremely good at getting early test dates so I decided to find out what they could offer me. I’m extremely busy most of the time so I asked my Dad to contact Carcaptain & sort everything out for me, they didn’t mind this at all & corresponded with my Dad throughout most of my course. My Dad found that they were extremely professional & really cared about my personal requirements, they treated my course as if it really mattered to them & I found this extremely reassuring.

The main reason I decided to go ahead with Carcaptain was because they were so organised & when I met with my instructor for the first time he had already written up an organised plan that we were going to follow during my lessons. This factor among others proved how different Carcaptain was to the last school I took lessons with. When I arranged my course I didn’t have specific dates in mind I just wanted to get a test as soon as possible. I had completed 11 hours of lessons & taken my test within 3 days of calling them, I doubt any other company could have pulled that off!

My instructor definitely knew what he was doing. He was very polite, professional and thorough in his teaching methods. He explained things in as many different ways as he could until I understood, which made the lessons very successful and worthwhile. I felt comfortable around him & enjoyed the hours I spent in the car with him, I learnt more in 11 hours of lessons than I did in over 6 months of lessons with my last instructor & went to my test feeling very well prepared in each and every aspect of the syllabus. Carcaptain’s rates are extremely reasonable compared with other companies & definitely worth paying to get your licence within a restricted time limit.

I found Carcaptain after searching intensive courses on Google, I thought the website was very profession but maybe could do with an upgrade! My enquiry was dealt with really well & every questions I had was answered in a way that I could understand. Carcaptain ticked all of the boxes, they were reasonably prices, friendly & professional. My course was booked according to my ‘wish list’ & I was put in touch with my instructor to arrange lessons. I was able to do this without a hitch but I thought my instructors diary could have been slightly better coordinated. However, my lessons went extremely well, my instructor was a fantastic teacher & really knew what he was doing. My test booking’s were professionally handled, within 5 days of ringing Carcaptain I had passed my theory & a week later I had completed my 23 hour course & taken my first practical test. I didn’t find driving the easiest thing in the world but I stuck it out & my instructor was consistently helpful & able to point out the areas we needed to work on. Although driving lessons are never cheap Carcaptain’s prices are lower than many & well worth the services you get in return.

I found Carcaptain driving school after searching for crash courses on a search engine, I looked through the website & thought the prices looked reasonable so I gave them a call. My first impression after speaking with a member of the team was that they were friendly & very helpful with my enquiry, everything was explained to me & every question I asked was explained clearly. CarCaptain had the driving course that I required at a reasonable price, and also seemed to be very professional so I booked my course with them. I did have a specific date in mind, although this date was not met exactly because I needed a couple more days of practice my test was scheduled for a matter of days later. I found the level of service to be high, on a couple of occasions when questioning a couple of things I was spoken to bluntly but I was also provided with an explanation of every course cost & a detailed invoice which showed a breakdown of every cost. Once I had paid my deposit I was provided with an updated invoice showing how much I had left to pay, I thought this was very professional.

Setting up my first lesson was reasonably simple, there was a slight confusion over when the instructor was going to call me but he did so as soon as he had finished teaching for the day & everything worked out fine. My instructor was nice & friendly & very thorough at explaining things, the lessons were obviously successful as I passed my test but they were also a lot of fun, I really enjoyed the learning experience. I was completely comfortable with my instructor during my course as he was very friendly & put me at ease, I went in feeling like I couldn’t drive and came out at the end with a full driving license and feeling confident. I knew that Carcaptain had an 85% first time pass rate & I had an excellent teacher who had taught me well, but that didn’t stop the nerves on the day, thankfully my test went fantastically & I passed with hardly any minor faults. CarCaptain are very reasonably priced. The tuition from the driving instructor was excellent, I couldn’t fault it.
